Peter Reiser pointed me via a tweet to Tweetdeck.



Tweetdeck is a Twitterclient based on Adobe Air ... perhaps this is the reason why this UI looks a little bit like Lightroom. At the moment i use this client and don´t want back to Twitterific.

Es ist irgendwie schon seltsam wenn man 2 Jahre im Leben eines Menschen, den man aus den Augen verloren hat, in 45 Minuten lesenderweis nachholt, weil dieser jetzt auch ein Blog fuehrt (von dem man erst vor kurzer Zeit weiss).

Bettina ist zwar nach Stöckchenwurf verreist, aber ich will dann jetzt doch mal antworten:

1. Welchen Feedreader benutzt Du und seit wann?
Also ich nutze NetNewsWire. Hmm, ich denke mal schon so lange wie ich blogge. Also etwa vier Jahre nun. Ich kann mich eigentlich nicht erinnern, etwas anderes verwendet zu haben. Ausser in der mac-losen Zeit, da war es denn Google Reader. Es gibt meines Erachstens keinen mit NNW vergleichbaren Newsreader fuer Windows. Entweder fehlt die Usability oder die Stabilitaet. Ich brauch beides.

2. Wieviele Feeds hast Du abonniert, wieviele davon sind Blogs (in %)?
Hmm, NNW sagt 301, davon sind wohl etwa 50% Blogs. Allerdings kann man das nicht so richtig zaehlen. Ich habe beispielsweise den blogs.sun.com-Feed abonniert. Dahinter stecken 5000 Blogs. Gottseidank sind die nicht alle so schwatzhaft wie mein eigenes Blog.

3. Wieviele Feeds liest Du täglich (wöchentlicher Schnitt)?
Alle 301. Bin Speedreader und versuche "latest News" immer auf 0 zu halten. Aber mal einen Tag nicht gelesen, schon ist man wieder auf 800 unread.

4. Dein meistgelesenster Feed/deutscher Blog-Feed?
International gesehen sicherlich der RSS-Feed von blogs.sun.com.

5. Welche Nachrichtenseiten hast Du abonniert (nenne max. 3)?
The Register
The Inquirer
sueddeutsche.de

6. Dein erstes und Dein letztes Blog im Reader?
Das erste Blog, das ich abboniert habe, war glaube ich das von Kris. Das letzte das ich dazugefuegt habe ist jenes von B-Tina und dem Wuki.

7. Lesegewohnheit: alphabetisch, chronologisch, durcheinander?

8. Hast Du Blogs/Feeds, von denen Du nicht zugeben würdest, dass Du sie liest, im Reader?
Ja, habe ich. Nein, ich sag nich welche. Allerdings habe ich andere Feeds subscribed, fuer die sich andere Leute vielleicht schaemen wuerden. Ich sehe da aber viele Dinge ... aehm ... lockerer. Ich lese zum Beispiel als Einsicht in einen ganz anderen Beruf das Blog des Streetgirls ganz gerne.

Strangely i found more and more google searches with my name in the logfiles of my blog and in the referer list of Xing.com in the last few days. Just in case: I haven´t done it and it´s not my fault ...

I have a somewhat strange relation to birthdays. It´s not that i forget all birthdays. I forget the birthday of friends and remember the birthday of people who started to hate/ignore me. This year i was even able to congratulate a person important to me at midnight. Sound good ? Well, it would be a nice gesture if it wasn´t a day too early. And you don´t ask "Sure?" in such situations as the congratulated person knows it better in any case. And the birthday of my good friend Kaija hammered itself in my memory by the answer "Today!" on my question "I know you have birthday in the next few days, but i can´t remember the exact date ..."

Okay, i have forgotten another birthday: The sysadmins community systemhelden.com celebrated it´s second birthday on June, 12th (to my excuse: it was the Toulouse/Biarritz/SanSebastian/Andorra/Barcelona weekend ... by the way ... a second monster trip is already in it´s early plannings, so far Narbonne and Carcasonne are included in the trip). So a very loud "Happy birthday" to the fathers of this successful project.

With 747 readers on Feedburner and the four people i gave a sideway around the URL rewrite to feedburner the number of subscribers to the main feed broke the number i´ve targeted for the end of the year: 750! Thank you to all my subscribers.

PS: Next target ... 1000

My blog had some problems with the comment function in the last few days. I assume a problem with the gateway to Akismet and configured the system differently. The comments should work again now.

At the moment Twitter is really annoying. It´s like sending SMS in the first minutes of the new year. But i see no rockets and drunken people on the street ...

I will kill of aviation.c0t0d0s0.org in the next few days. I simply didn´t had enough time for a second blogging workflow. I will integrate that special interest blog into the main blog in the next few days.

This was the presentation i´ve finalized on this weekend. It was intended for an internal audience in Germany to introduce the idea of podcasting to them in the context of a project i´m working on together with Constantin Gonzalez.I think i will add an audio track to this preso soon:

Yet another social networking site in my collection: I´ve completed my profile at Facebook...

Wow, three and a half year after starting this blog the article-number in my blog reached 4000. There are slightly less articles in the database as i have deleted some articles in the past. In total the blog consists out of 2689292 characters, but more important out of 2452 comments as well. Thank you!

Ich habe ja eigentlich bis etwa anfang dieses Jahres Podcasts irgendwie links liegen gelassen. Ich lese extrem schnell und ich bin nicht mit einem langen Weg zur Arbeit geschlagen. So habe ich eigentlich wenig Probleme damit, mich durch Textwüsten zu kämpfen. Im Rahmen meiner Vielfliegerei habe ich denoch angefangen, häufiger Podcasts zu hören. Wobei ich allerdings irgendwie anscheinend einen recht seltsamen geschmack habe, wenn ich das so mit den ueblichen Listen vergleiche. Ich hoere naemlich kaum IT-Podcasts und keine Podcasts von Bloggern (die einzige Ausnahme ist seltsamerweise der Podcast vom Spreeblick, obwohl der in letzter Zeit sehr unregelmaessig weitergefuehrt wird).

Im Grunde entlasten mich Podcasts davon, selber Radiosendungen aufzunehmen. Radio selber hoere ich gar nicht mehr. Zu unerträglich sind die meisten Programme mittlerweile geworden. Und als das sehe ich Podcasts. Asynchrones Radio. So wie ich TV nur noch via digitalem Videorekorder gucke: Ich gucke im EPG, ob mich eine Sendung interessieren koennte, zeichne sie auf und gucke sie irgendwann. Und mit der Loeschtaste bin ich dann auch sehr schnell.

Vielleicht aber doch mal eine kurze List der Podcasts, die ich regelmaessig konsumiere:

• Ich beschäftige mich viel mit Sicherheitspolitik (ist noch ein pet project aus Zeiten meines Studiums). Ich hoere daher ziemlich regelmaessig den Podcast der NDR4-Sendung "Streitkräfte und Strategien".
• Durch eine Freundin bin ich auf einen anderen Podcast hingewiesen worden, den ich in zunehmender Häufigkeit hoere: die Podcasts von National Geographics. Primär die News und World Talk.
• Ansonsten finde von dradio den Podcast zum Thema "Wissenschaft und Forschung" meisten sehr interessant.
• Schon vor Ewigkeiten habe ich im Radio eine Sendung kennengelernt, die ich bis heute gerne hoere:Zwischen Hamburg und Haiti. Oftmals hoerenswert, wenns nich gerade um solche Orte wie beispielsweise Braunschweig geht

Ich hoffe ja, das deutschlandradio irgendwann auch mal die Freistil-Sendungen als Podcast veroeffentlicht. Diese Sendung, die Sonntags von 20:00 bis 21:00 Uhr laeuft ist oftmals hochinteressant, gerade wegen der ständig wechselnden Themen und der unheimlich breiten Spanne von Gebieten.
